This week officially marks Minecraft’s 17th anniversary! It’s wild to think that what started as a simple, single-developer “Cave Game” experiment back on May 17, 2009, has evolved into a global phenomenon and the best-selling game of all time. Nearly two decades later, the game still finds brand new ways to make us laugh, panic, build together, and accidentally fall to our deaths. Whether you’ve been mining since alpha or just recently joined the blocky ranks, happy birthday to the universe that brings this humble community together!

Life on the Farms
Among the many things that keep our humble humbugs going is creating farms and more farms. If it can be farmed, we are likely doing it. This week, we welcome you to TRIPLE-B (blaze, bamboo, and breeze).
Most recently, an epic and adorable Blaze farm has been created by the wonderful and talented TFZ (The Friendly Zoologist). The place is a little unsettling, but oddly cozy. Drop in a grab some blaze rods and enjoy that Nether smell.

Xrogg has become the farm engineer of HumbleCraft. This high volume bamboo farm has great views and a classy storage room within.

That swirl lets you know that you’re in the right place. Deep below Gizlandio, our pal, Gizario has converted a Trial Chamber into a Breeze farm.

Highwire Wind Charges
The server was quiet. The only two souls online were Gizario and Stout. Just two lone humbugs minding their own business, chipping away at projects, and enjoying the serene, rhythmic hum of a peaceful server.
Then, the universe spoke. Or rather, Server did. Three little words materialized: Stout Vs. Giz. And then, as a taunt, “Money is on Stout.” The peace evaporated. The text hung in the air like a digital gauntlet thrown into the dirt.
Gizario paused, pickaxe frozen mid-swing. Hundreds of blocks away, Stout stopped in her tracks. It was on.

Now, this is a Humble server, and PVP is eternally turned off. How then to test who should win the server’s admiration?
With a fake laugh to ease the tension, Stout offered, “We could meet at SiphonicChief’s new base and try to knock each other off the bridges with wind charges?”
She knew Gizario couldn’t resist this challenge. After all, he had earned a bit of a reputation on the server for his aerial antics, regularly surprising fellow humbugs with a wind charge from the sky as he flew past. The ultimate gravity-defying showdown was officially on.

The two met at Chief’s base. They placed all their armor and possessions safely in a chest before ascending nearly 200 blocks into the sky. Standing on the dizzying heights of the bridge, they each chose an end, facing off across the narrow expanse.
With a count of 1, 2, 3… GO! the sky erupted.
Wind charges flew through the air…and so did Stout. Caught in a gust, she sailed right off the edge of the bridge, plummeting to her doom below as her XP scattered everywhere. Spawning back in, sheepish at her own hubris but absolutely loving the the challenge, she typed, “Best 2 out of 3?” just as Gizario’s message popped up in the chat: “Want to go again!?”
Round 2 went to Stout. As she celebrated victoriously on the bridge, Gizario’s message popped in chat: “Whoops, didn’t set my spawn. I’m at my base.”
A classic Minecraft mistake.
With the score tied at 1:1, it all came down to the third round. To up the stakes, Gizario suggested they go even higher, to the peak of the tallest tower Chief had built so far. Stout felt a knot of nervousness in her stomach. This tower wasn’t a wide bridge; it was precarious, only a single block wide all the way around. One wrong step, or one well-placed blast, meant defeat. But Gizario seemed so confident. Steeling her nerve, Stout agreed.
Higher they went.

Gizario started the countdown. On three, the air cracked as they both launched a wind charge straight at the other.
With just one devastating hit, Stout was done for. The blast blew her clean off the single-block perch, sending her to her doom on the grassy blocks below. Gizario’s response to his decisive victory was beautifully understated:
“That was fast. Oh, I wasn’t recording, do you have time to do it again.”

Finders & Almost Finders
An elite set of humbugs hold the honor of the Hidden Item Trifecta. Previously held only by CosmicDragon, TFZ, WildBill and Stout. This week, Gizario officially joined their ranks!
Stout set the stage by hiding Mossy, the oxidized block, and the legendary Dragon Egg for them to find. While many humbugs were on the trail, Gizario ultimately tracked them all down. Granted, he walked right past some the first time, but a win is a win! Congratulations, Gizario!
Gizario’s path to victory was full of clever misdirection. A decoy Mossy in the shopping district caused early confusion, but the authentic item was ultimately discovered hidden under a table in the cat cafe.

The search for the oxidized golem led Gizario through the tiny takeover playground. While initially misled by an ice cream stand, he correctly deduced that the banner hint referenced the custom banners he crafted for the HPM, locating the item inside the HPM office.

The final challenge, the Dragon Egg, was positioned within a Mesa build; utilizing a single clue, Gizario successfully navigated to the site to secure his place in server history.

Roads All the Rage
What should the roads look like? We actually think a lot about what to do on HumbleCraft. Currently, we are debating the standard for road styles throughout the world. Should they change from area to area to match the nearby builds and biomes? Or should they stay the same throughout the world? What would you do? What should we do?

That wraps it up for this week’s Humble News! There is nothing quite like watching our little corner of the world evolve, and we have plenty of wonderful projects to keep us busy. Admiring the fresh cobblestone on the new roads, checking in on the local farms, or joining the hunt for those elusive hidden items, there’s always something to do. Just be sure to watch your step out there, we wouldn’t want anyone getting blasted into the stratosphere by a stray wind charge during our next battle!
See you all around the server!!!
