Welcome back to HumbleCraft! This week, we’re setting aside the heavy grinding to spend some time on the lighter side of the server. From community-run mini-games to our latest server-wide hunts, we’re diving into all things games and fun. Put down your pickaxe, grab a friend, and let’s get into what’s happening across the map!
Humble Games:
Play, Compete, Repeat
The thrill of the hunt was alive and well this week, as every humbug knows there’s nothing quite like hunting a well-hidden item. TFZ kept everyone on their toes by switching up the clues for The Oxidized One, breathing fresh energy into this leg of the hunt.
With only three clues to go on – a picture of Oak logs, Lanterns, and a Furnace, the humbugs descended upon Xrogg’s base. In a classic twist, it was the master farmer Xrogg himself who finally spotted the golem tucked away in the trees of his own home, proving that sometimes you just need a fresh set of eyes (and home field advantage) to crack the code! It has been tucked away again somewhere on the server, happy scouting!
The gaming momentum is building in the Humble Gaming District, where several ambitious projects and rides are currently in progress. ZanjoBanjo’s new roller coaster, which captures those classic Great Humble Mountain vibes, has officially entered the testing phase. Brave humbugs are encouraged to take a spin and share their feedback.
Meanwhile, a mysterious structure known as The Cellar appeared overnight, leaving the community wondering what kind of shenanigans are being planned within its walls. Not to be outdone, Gizario is hard at work on a massive redstone creation. Between the scale of the build and his recent mutterings of “so. much. lava,” this particular game seems destined to hand out plenty of “Oops, I died” badges!
While scoping out the gaming area for the news, I ducked into the Construction Van to escape the sunset and the looming threat of mobs. This hub is the first stop for anyone securing a build site and the only place with a bed to sleep away the night.
As I slammed the door shut, I was met with the terrifying, familiar hisssssss of a creeper ready to blow. Panic set in as I scrambled from one side of the van to the other, hearing that sound over and over, wondering how it was tracking me through the windows. After the sun rose, I spotted a tiny creeper head outside that refused to despawn or move. Summoning my courage, I finally bolted out the door, only to find it was a creeper head on a spike, a grim warning to other mobs to stay away. But if the head was just a decoration, what was the source of that relentless hissing? After a little investigating, it turns out another clever sort of game is afoot. Someone is planting noise decoys to trick (and scare!) the other humbugs. Not to worry! The HPM (ZanjoBanjo) and VHPM (LC Stout) and even the newly appointed CHPM are on the case!
Open House at Humble Homesteads
Head out to the homesteads and visit Gizario’s ranch style home! It is the ultimate playground for a game of hide-and-seek; you can challenge a friend to sniff out your best hiding spot, or take on a solo mission to locate the cleverly tucked-away mob heads scattered throughout the house. Best of luck and don’t forget to check out the back patio and enjoy the BBQ!
There are a few other homes under construction, a few plots claimed, but many more still available! How excited are we for the Stony Baggins homestead!?
Llama Lunacy
If you have been following HumbleCraft for a while now you know we have a llama issue, I mean, coalition, on the server. They have damaged post office property, interfered with mail services, spit at people, knocked them into lava, demanded clothes and now they are at it again. Llamas have been spotted miraculously scaling the walls at Humble Castle, alarming the Green Wizard and disrupting construction. Next we get a report that they are infiltrating humbug farms and stopping production. I can’t reveal my source, but I have been told a llama revolution is coming in a few months. How should the humbugs prepare?!
Shopping District – But Make It IRL
To celebrate all the fun and friendship, we are having on the server and the 1 million (now up to 1.1 million) views on line we have HumbleCraft stickers and merch coming! Chief our (mostly) fearless leader has been flexing his creative muscles and coming up with the humble designs. Check them out; and, humbugs, make sure to get yourself some!
As the sun sets on another week in HumbleCraft, it’s clear that this world is more than builds and blocks… it’s the laughter after a false creeper scare, the thrill of a perfectly hidden clue, and the stories we create together along the way. Whether you’re chasing golems, testing coasters, dodging llama antics, or simply enjoying a quiet moment at the homesteads, there’s always something waiting just around the corner.
