Six months ago, HumbleCraft was just an idea. Today? It’s a thriving community where we all share our pixelated creativity and chaos.

This week, we are celebrating our 6-month anniversary! Alongside this milestone, we’re celebrating the birthday of a much loved Humbug and self-described “chaos coordinator”, as well as welcoming several new faces to the server. It’s the perfect reflection of what HumbleCraft is all about: honoring where we’ve been while excitedly looking toward the future. Grab a slice of cake and pull up a chair—let’s dive into everything happening around the server this week!

The Void Beckons:
A New Era for the End

Spooky Sounds & Questionable Engineering

The End has seen some interesting activity recently, leaving us a mix of hyped and slightly confused. Chief has officially solved our XP problems by building an incredible Enderman farm under a mysterious tree hanging over the void. It works like a charm, but we do have one question: Who builds a bridge over the void out of trapdoors?! If you have the nerves to survive the horrific Enderman screams and a highly OSHA-non-compliant bridge, go get your levels up! Special thanks to Jester, CEO Resin Inc for the tutorials, Xrogg for all the building materials, and Neilo for helping with the mythical Endermite.

But the changes don’t stop at the farm. Strange things are brewing out in the dark, and we don’t quite know what to make of them yet. A random railroad track has appeared, leading directly into nowhere… we think. Even more unsettling? A lone grave marked for someone (or something) named Ghappy. What is happening out there in the void? Keep your eyes peeled, because the End is definitely hiding some secrets.

The Welcome Wagon:
New Blocks & Returning Players

Looking for some inspiration for those new Sulfur Cave blocks? Head over to the Humble Mall! Queen Layla has opened up a fantastic new shop in the shopping district, making her the first Humbug to showcase the new update blocks in a build. The shop looks incredible and the wares are top-tier—be sure to check it out!

It’s not just new shops popping up on the server, we’ve got some fresh faces and familiar returns as well! First up, please give a humble welcome to Lyre Liar, our newest Humbug! Thanks to Gizario, Lyre Liar starts their hunt for humble real estate in full diamond gear! We’re always impressed with the generosity of the Humbugs.

Alongside our new recruit, a few Humbugs who have been MIA for a while have made their way back for the summer. The inspiration is clearly hitting hard: while one returning member jumped straight into working on their base, another tore down their entire factory to make way for a brand-new build (Parallel) featuring some fresh inspiration (and a massive lake!) Welcome back, everyone!! We can’t wait to see what you build next.

Close Encounters of the Birthday Kind

Pro tip: Be careful about mentioning your birthday in the Discord, because the Humbugs are always watching, and shenanigans are bound to follow. When Chill Wild Bill shared his special day a few weeks back, our HPM Zanjo Banjo wasted no time. She quickly created a stealthy group chat with a handful of Humbugs to coordinate a secret build celebrating the server’s favorite Chaos Slime (Wild Bill).

The squad was deployed! Zanjo, Gizario, TFZ, and Stout (with Chief providing maximum moral support) got right to work on a UFO parkour build that heavily featured, you guessed it, slime blocks. Zanjo masterfully organized the chaos, TFZ found the perfect swamp location, and in true Zoologist fashion, wrangled a literal menagerie of hostile baby mobs into the saucer. After Stout finished the saucer build, Gizario faced the ultimate challenge: creating a parkour tractor beam impressive enough to test the skills of ChillWildBill, one of the absolute best parkour players on the server!

Plot twist: Actually figuring out how to get Bill to the surprise was something the group totally forgot to plan until the literal day before his birthday. Cut us some slack, we were busy perfecting the parkour! Working fast, Zanjo made a lodestone and a compass to point the way. She and Stout then infiltrated Bill’s storage room, decking it out with festive cakes, birthday banners, and a splash of TFZ‘s lime green terracotta to leave the ultimate birthday trail.

Of course, the whole plan rested on Bill actually stepping foot into his storage room to spot the compass. That’s where SiphonicChie—uh, the server—came in. With a totally natural, definitely-not-suspicious message in chat, the server successfully nudged Bill in the right direction and sent him off on his birthday quest!

A couple of Humbugs actually managed to capture the exact moment WildBill stumbled into his birthday surprise, so definitely keep an eye out for those videos next week! You won’t want to miss it.

Livin’ on a Prayer

We’re half way there! 6 month mark!!!!!!

Hard to believe, but Humblecraft Season 1 has officially hit the halfway mark! Over on Discord, we’ve been chatting about all the exciting plans we have in the pipeline for the second half of the season. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s brewing:

Stout: build a haunted village (that doesn’t end up being described as cute) and scares Gizario as payback for the creeper pranks.

WillBill: Continue work on the largest, tallest spruce tree Minecraft has ever seen. There was mention of a blimp as well?! Maybe transportation to the top of said tree??

Gizario: Working on finishing the colosseum in the gaming district that is bound to take the lives of a many a Humbug.

ZanjoBanjo: Start (and FINISH!) The Legend of Zelda world.

SiphonicChief: Turn the world upside down, quite literally by building an upside down village on the roof of a massive cave.

TheFriendlyZoologist: Need to finish the portal at spawn. Build some games. And a glasshouse at her base but this might be a lot🙈.

Xrogg: Make a few more farms, of course. Improve Redstone knowledge. Make a better storage system… Xrogg is in fact, unstoppable!

As you can see, the second half of Season 1 is shaping up to be massive. There is so much creativity brewing across the server, and we cannot wait to see all of these projects come to life. A huge shout-out to everyone for bringing such incredible energy and vision to HumbleCraft!! Let’s make the next six months even better than the first!
