Humble News, Volume 24

Welcome back, Humbugs! It has been a bustling week on the HumbleCraft server! In this week’s update, we are diving into the incredible engineering feats of our community. We’ll showcase a new skyline-altering project, sit down for an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview with one of our most legendary (and famously generous) Humbugs, check out how everyone is experimenting with the latest blocks, and finally share a highly anticipated, chaotic birthday video you won’t want to miss. Grab some fish to trade and let’s dive in!

Industrial Area Expansion: The Guardian Farm Upgrade

What started as a staircase climbing into the sky has completely transformed. SiphonicChief has officially expanded the guardian farm, encasing the old structure in a massive, breathtaking building that anchors the skyline. But it’s more than just a grand exterior, it’s a fully functioning XP farm and enchantment hub. Chief has brought in local fisherman laborers to keep the guardian farm factory running smoothly, creating a bustling atmosphere. It’s quickly become the perfect spot to hang out, trade fish, level up your gear, and work on your latest enchantments.

This impressive build marks the newest addition to our rapidly growing industrial district. It sits alongside the mysterious operations of Resin Inc. and the highly anticipated campus of Humble University, making this corner of the world the place to watch!

Meet Xrogg: HumbleCraft’s Master Farmer with a Heart of Gold

Every Minecraft community has its legends, and on HumbleCraft, Xrogg is firmly rooted at the top. To call his creations “farms” would be an understatement. They are architectural marvels that redefine what’s possible on the server. But behind these towering, high-yield builds is a player who is famously down-to-earth and always ready to help a fellow humbug. Today, we’re going behind the scenes with Xrogg to talk about his design process, his love for the automated grind, and his passion for giving back on the server.

Its Xrogg!!

The name Xrogg, where did it come from?

Xrogg was my first character in my 15 year run of World of Warcraft. He was an undead Rouge.

Your early base started out as a manual farming area where you farmed a little bit of everything. What made you transition from those humble beginnings to the massive redstone complex you have now?

RickyToo, he had changed up some of my redstone on a few of the farms to add switches and it sparked my curiosity about more complex redstone farms. Thank you Ricky 😊

Starter Base with secrets underneath

Had you built all those farms before?
I only built the mud, cobblestone, and basalt farms before the server, all other farms have been new to me.

Do you have a favorite farm in your area, either because of how complex it was to build or just how efficient it is?

The Bamboo burnt torch wall farm and the mini cobblestone/stone farm I built for Chief. It is 3×3 blocks in size

The community jokingly calls you “Santa” because if anyone needs an item, you show up with chests full of it for free. What drives you to be so generous with your resources?

There are 2 reasons…

  1. I felt guilty for taking I think it was 5 hay bales from the first village before most people join the server. 😞
  2. You all are amazing builders and I don’t want you all to have to grind for building materials.

Your new base has been described as :other-worldly” Where did you get the inspiration for this build?

I am not the best builder. In that area I am testing new build ideas with blocks I don’t use to much of.

You did an incredible amount of work digging out the nether tunnels and made them safe for everyone. What kept you motivated through such a grindy project?

I was really scared of the nether before the server. Now not so much. What drives me is that I like to dig, and as a father of six, I feel the need to protect people. 😊 If that makes any sense.

Do you watch videos or listen to audio books?
A lot of Redstone videos. Plus, my kiddos keep me moving.

Your builds have this incredible, fully immersive feel to them where you just lose yourself in the environment. Where do you look for inspiration when you’re dreaming up these spaces? Are you drawing from movies, other games, or just letting the blocks tell the story?

I just let the blocks flow to see where they go, type of builder.

Lastly, a special message from one of the kindest Humbugs we have:

Thank you to all of you for being so kind. This is my first server experience, and it has been amazing!!
Special thanks to Chief for inviting me to this wonderful community!! Thank you,

Putting Sulfur to Work: How the Humbugs Are Utilizing the Latest Blocks

The Humbugs were incredibly quick to hunt down the new sulfur blocks, and have spent the last couple of weeks in creative experimentation. Leave it to Gizario to immediately find the extreme limits of the update. He already figured out how to breed sulfur cubes right up to the server’s entity cap!

How many times this season will Giz lag the server with entity cramming?

Meanwhile, proving once again why he’s our resident farming and engineering mastermind, Xrogg has been harnessing the unique geyser feature to build an item elevator.

QueenLayla has also been getting in on the action, seamlessly weaving the new sulfur blocks into her most recent build to add some fantastic new textures and flair.

Not to be outdone on the technical side, Gizario is pushing the blocks even further by experimenting with redstone-activated geysers. He’s currently working on a way to use them as hazards for his upcoming Colosseum game, which is bound to add some chaos to the arena! And ZanjoBanjo is creating a mini golf course as well!

I was heading out to see how the sulfur cubes were being utilized in the gaming district today, but I ended up getting completely sidetracked by a rather unusual scene.

Just off the path, there was a pirate ship parked with its cannon aimed directly at Gizario’s base. Oddly enough, the deck was completely deserted, no pirates anywhere in sight. Well, except for a lone llama wandering nearby. He seemed friendly enough, but it does make me wonder if he’s part of the crew, or just enjoying the view.

The Wait is Over: The Birthday UFO Video Has Finally Landed!

Last week, we shared the story behind the secret creation of ChillWildBill’s epic birthday UFO. Now, you can finally see it in action! Gizario just dropped his latest video showcasing the build, and it’s a must-watch for any Humblecraft fan.

The build itself features a custom slime-green aesthetic designed specifically for Bill. The entire tractor beam leading up to the ship is actually a parkour maze, and watching the Humbugs navigate it is half the fun. Make sure to head over to the video and cheer Giz on as he tries (and struggles) to conquer his own parkour course and his wind charge and jumping skills are put to the test!

As an extra treat, the video gives us a quick tour of parts Bill’s expansive base, including a slime hot-air balloon. It’s mind-boggling to see how much his area is growing.

The creativity, humor, and generosity of this community shine through in every single block placed. A massive thank you to our incredible builders, engineers, and everyone else making our growing server the most exciting place to be. Make sure to head over to YouTube and Twitch to show some love to the Humbugs and we’ll see you all in-game for the next adventure!!!
